Foreign Corrupt Practices Act

Mr. Boltz will be speaking on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. This is a United States statute that makes it a crime to influence foreign officials to gain any advantage in the country of the Official or where the Official may be able to exert influence. Although you may think you have no risk, if you do business through a co-worker, agent or affiliate in a foreign country, you are at risk.
Mr. Boltz will discuss steps to minimize these risks, as well as the corrupt practice acts of other countries.

Bio:

Michael Boltz was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and a graduate from the University of West Virginia. He is licensed in Texas, New Mexico and Illinois in their state courts, their federal courts and in US Court of Appeal in Louisiana, Colorado and Illinois. Mr. Boltz has taught real estate law, published law articles and won cases that established legal precedence. Mr. Boltz's offices are located in The Woodlands and practices in the areas of Transportation Law, Business Law, Real Estate, Wills and Probate and Family Law, and have represented national and international companies in business and commercial litigation.
